Quote of the Day (or week!)

"That which we persist in doing becomes easy to do, not because the nature of the thing has changed, but because our power to do it has increased."
Heber J. Grant quoting Ralph Waldo Emerson

Just WHAT exactly ARE the "D's"???

The 7 Ds to Success are principles we've tested over years of trying to achieve goals.

  • Desire
  • Define the goal clearly
  • Diligent daily prayer
  • Document the goal
  • Discuss with a mentor
  • Delight in success
  • Don't EVER give up
Try the experiment with us.  Start today!  Set your goal - write it down, use the 7 D's, and tell us about your experiences.  In the words of our prophet, President Thomas S. Monson:

"No plan.  No objective.  No goal.  The road to anywhere is the road to nowhere, and the road to nowhere leads to dreams sacrificed, opportunities squandered, and a life unfulfilled" (Thomas S. Monson, in Conference Report, Oct 1976, p. 73; or Ensign, Nov. 1976, p. 51).

  1. I really enjoyed your class today! I'm not in your stake but came with my sister in law and so glad I did. I had set some goals for myself recently so it was the perfect way to make sure I follow through. In case you want to check up on my progress with one of them here is my blog address: www.daveandbrook.blogspot.com.
    Thanks again!!

    2. Just checked out your blog to see what your goal was. Love the before and after pics and hats off to you for what you accomplished.
The pics could actually become your AA's (Accountability Advocates). Post the 'before' pic at the beginning of the project with a completion date goal. That pic, hanging out there, will be great motivation to complete the goal and get the 'after' pic posted. Best wishes for your success!
